Our clients frequently come to us with the request to repurpose old jewelry. As a jeweler in Scottsdale, we know how precious certain gems can be to someone. We also understand the wish to reuse and recycle it into something new you will love again. There are many reasons people want to take a piece that may not fit their current needs or aesthetic and turn it into something they can cherish and wear with pride.
If you have jewelry that fits into one of these categories, you may want to look into repurposing your own as well.
-Heirloom jewelry that doesn’t appeal to your personal sense of style
-Older jewelry with a broken or deteriorating setting
-Gems that you want to wear in a different form of jewelry
-Seeking a change in the type of metal setting (silver, gold and platinum)
There can be many additional reasons behind the motive to repurpose your jewelry. Many of our customers have a personal tie to the gems and don’t want to let go of them, but don’t enjoy wearing the current piece as is. That’s why we give you the option to meet with one of our designers and come up with a piece designed to your own specifications.
There are many options when it comes to what we can do for you. We can:
-Change the setting within the same type of jewelry
-Redesign the jewelry completely (turn a ring into a pendant)
-We can separate a piece of jewelry with many stones into a few different pieces.
If you’re unable to decide how you want to repurpose your jewelry, our designers are available to sit down with you and collaborate on a design that will bring new life to your special gem. We want all of our customers to love their jewelry no matter what shape, size, color or setting they’re in.
