Research your diamond seller. Check online for reviews on the jewelry company you’re planning on buying from. A total of 4.5*’s and more total in reviews shows a reputable store. Look to see how bad reviews have been handled. If a bad review is not responded to or the response to bad reviews are all the same, keep shopping. If you see all 5*’s, be wary as this usually raises a red flag as to how authentic these reviews are.

Never buy a diamond based on the certificate alone. Seeing the diamond for yourself is the most important thing you can do before making your purchase. After all, even a GIA-certified diamond may not be the perfect diamond for you.
